The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) Praise be to God who made wisdom the lost property of the believer and an admonition and reminder for the righteous (...) And then he says (...) Omar bin Al-Mahdi bin Ahmed bin Da’lan (...) When God granted me to collect these restrictions referred to in the first book of them in my settlement with Moulay Abd al-Salam (...) I sought God’s help, first and second, in publishing (...) and I called it the collection of the scattered pearls and the extension of the restrictions of Ibn Da’lan.
End of the manuscript: If supplication is accepted by many knowers, then how about mentioning the Master of Knowers, may God bless him and grant him peace, whom God has made a mercy to the worlds. Ibn Ata Allah said in Adab and Imam Al-Risa’ reported it in his book Tuhfat Al-Akhbar.
