Notes Title supplied by a modern hand on a laid-in leaf of notes. Inscription: “Bismillāh al-Raḥmān al-Raḥīm. wa-abhá mafkharah...” The beginning: “In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, the Most Powerful, the All-Knowing, the Creator, the Wise... As for what follows, knowledge is the most noble of honours, the most exalted of rank, and the most exalted of honor...” Coarse naskhī and nastaʻlīq. Sporadic marginalia. Islamic binding, paper covered. With: 6 other titles. "Tammat ... fī shahr Jumād al-Ākhir. Katab ... Darwīsh Ibrāhīm ibn Darwīsh Ḥasan khādim Shaykh Ḥasan Afandī Ḥaḍratdar, sanat thalāthah miʼatayn wa-alf 1203." “It was completed... in the month of Jumada al-Akhir. Written by... Darwish Ibrahim bin Darwish Hassan Khadim Sheikh Hassan Effendi Hazratdar, in the year two hundred and three thousand 1203.” Translation of the colophon: "It is completed ... in the month of Jumādá al-Ākhir. Copied by Darwīsh Ibrāhīm ibn Darwīsh Ḥasan servant of Shaykh Ḥasan Afandī Ḥaḍratdar, in the year 1203 [of the Hijrah = February/March 1789]." Text in Arabic, quotations of verses in Persian, with additional text in Turkish.
