Notes Principles of faith. Title given in manuscript (leaf 106 recto) as: hādhā Kitāb risāl[at] al-ʻaqāʼid. Compared with Berlin catalog 1953 (Hitti 1545 seems to be a different work). Incipit: "Bismillāh al-Raḥmān al-Raḥīm. Qāla ahl al-ḥaqq: Ḥaqāʼiq al-ashyāʼ thābitah, wa-al-ʻilm bi-hā mutaḥaqqiq, khilāfan lil-Sufusṭāʼīyah...” The beginning: “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The people of truth said: The truths of things are established, and knowledge of them is established, contrary to sophism...” Fair naskhī, in red and black. Islamic binding, paper covered. With: 6 other titles. Colophon (Added in a later hand): “Tamma tamām shad sanat ʻashr miʼatayn [wa-]alf. 1210].” The conclusion (later added with a different hand): “The year 1210 was completed.” Translation of the colophon: "It is completed in the year 1210 [of the Hijrah = 1795/1796]." Text in Arabic, colophon and notes in Persian.
