This file concerns disputes between the two ruling shaikhs at Dibba and their relations with the Sultan of Muscat and Oman. The two shaikhs are described as follows: the Shihuh Shaikh, a subject of the Sultan of Muscat and Oman, and the Qasimi Shaikh (also transliterated as Jowasimi in the file), who is stated as being a subject of the Ruler of Sharjah, but who in October 1932 reportedly requested the protection of the Sultan of Muscat and Oman.
