Qājār, Crown Prince of Persia] to the Chairman of the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. of the East India Company, Hugh Primrose Lindsay (IOR/L/PS/9/71/152 (1)), and a translation of the letter in English (IOR/L/PS/9/71/152 (2)). The letter was received on 25 February 1828. In the letter, Abbas Meerza expresses his satisfaction with the services rendered to Persia [Iran] by Captain Isaac Hart of the 65th Regiment of Foot, and requests that the Duke of Wellington be solicited so that a ‘special mark of favour’ may be bestowed upon Hart.
