The letters are primarily messages of congratulations related to victories on behalf of Britain and its allies in the Second World War that took place between 1943 and 1945. The file also contains copies of the responses (including drafts) that were sent back from the Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. to these various individuals and institutions. The majority of the letters are in Arabic (with English translations provided).
