Secret Committee
Pre-1784, the Committee responsible for protecting East India Company shipping. Post-1784, its main role was to transmit communications between the Board of Control and the Company's Indian governments on matters requiring secrecy.
, Number 27 of 1842, dated 6 August 1842. The enclosures are numbered 3-8 and are dated 3 June 1842-6 August 1842. The enclosures relate to political and military affairs in Hyderabad State. They include a survey of ‘Arab’ emirs [amīrs, ‘courtiers’] at the royal court of the Nizam (folios 17-39).
