Notes	The three folios consist of a note explaining that the enclosures to Letters Nos. 1-2 are not included in the volume, together with an abstract of the contents of the missing enclosures. The missing enclosures concern the following subjects: The arrival of Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. in Sindh Colonel Henry Pottinger at Hyderabad, and his favourable reception by, and negotiations with the Amirs of Sindh; the agreement between Pottinger and Amir Nur Muhammad Khan Talpur regarding the establishment of an agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. on behalf of the British Government at Shikarpur and other important matters; a minute by Governor General-in-Council George Eden, Lord Auckland, on the British Government's negotiations with the Amirs of Sindh and the Sikh Emperor of the Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh; a memorandum on the draft agreement between Pottinger and the Amirs in English and Persian; the Governor General's satisfaction with proceedings at Hyderabad and instructions to Pottinger; the Governor General's gratification at the Maharaja's abandonment of his planned invasion of Sindh, and his suggestion that the Amirs would probably be amenable to British Government mediation with the Maharaja to address points of contention between them regarding the Mazari Tribe and other matters.
