Notes
Selection of two short poems by the poet Abu Dulaf (d. ca. 225/840), ca. 10th cent. CE. Abu Dulaf was an Abbasid courtier and poet. He was a prolific writer, credited with five books and one hundred pages of poetry. However, none of these books survive, and only a handful of the poems now exist. See Malczycki, William Matthew. Literary Papyri from the University of Utah Arabic Papyrus and Paper Collection. Salt Lake City: University of Utah, 2006. Good quality brown papyrus 38.3 x 16.9 cm
