Notes
The style differs from that of the other Sinai fragments and points to one
Egyptian origin. The writing comes from two hands: 1st part (sheets 1a -b,
3a - b, 2a) almost completely unpunctuated, unvocalized Egyptian Nasḫī des
10th century. Black ink. 2nd part (pages 2a - 2b) by a different hand, with a stronger qalam
written; same style as part 1, but completely dotted; Cross as
punctuation marks; both headings (pages 3b, 1b) highlighted in red and with
black diacritical marks - parchment - fragment of an extensive codex: final piece of a homily with an admonition to brotherly love.

1 (sheet 3a-3b, line 4): Miʾmar. Part 2 (sheet 3b, line 5, 1a-1b): Ṣaḥīfa nazalat
min as-samāʾ, the letter of Christ that fell from heaven as an exhortation for Sunday observance.
Part 3 (sheet 1b, last line): Miʾmar li-Yuḥannā Fam aḏ-ḏahab, from this homily
only the heading remains. Part 4 (sheet 2a, lines 1-5): Miʾmar, end one
Homily mentioning the Virgin Birth. Part 5 (sheets 2a-b): Miʾmar li-Yuḥannā
Fam aḏ-ḏahab, the first half of the one under the spuria of John Chrysostom
Sermo in saltationem Herodiadis et decollationem Joannis Praecursoris et Baptistae.
