Notes
A bundle of 73 sheets of various sizes, mostly 4°, loose in a 3 folder
("Stapling") stored in a Nomibox. Most, especially the parchment sheets,
served as bindings for manuscripts and were later torn off. Such
Most Armenian manuscripts have protective leaves ("flying leaves") like
our collection also shows. They usually come from old Gospel codices. — brown, black — Armenian script → Erkat’agir — Heft I, Bl.1-33: the sheets are written according to their writing style and their approximate
Age divided so that group I is the oldest and group IX is the youngest.
Groups I-IX contain fragments from all four Gospels and Revelation
John. Some fragments have parallel numbers on the lower leaves. Issue II, pages 34-55. The first group (pages 34-42) in 4° contains fragments from the
Church books: Breviary and Ritual (Mashtoz). The second group (pages 42-43) exists
from two sheets of parchment in Middle Mesropian script, contains a fragment
a theological treatise. The III. Group (pages 44-45) is a fragment of a collection
of the saints' stories, also in Middle Mesropian script. The IV group
(pp. 46-55) is a fragment of a sharakan written in circular script. two edge decorations. Issue III, pages 56-73. Group I (fol. 56-57) two half-leaves in folio in Middle Mesropian
Scripture, fragments of a ritual, Bible verses to be read when washing the feet.
Group II (pp. 58-60) three half-sheets in folio, fragments of a collection of the lives of saints
and talking (ճառընտիր). Group III (pp. 61-64) four sheets of paper, fragments of one
Collection of the lives of saints, the story of the return of St. Grigor Lusavorič̕
(Gregory the Illuminator) from Caesarea and the fight with the pagan priests. group
IV (pp. 65-73) consists of eight sheets of paper and a piece of parchment: A) one sheet
(65) from a Gospel in circular script (comes from Ms. or Minut. 283) - B) The piece of parchment
(66) is from a gospel. The two sheets of paper (67-68) are also made of one
Gospel with parallels.- C) Three sheets of paper: 1. One sheet (69) from the index
to Paul's letters. 2-3. Two sheets (70-71) from a ritual in circular script
written. - D) A sheet of paper (72) in cursive script, containing 9 1/2 verses of one
Song in the form of a conversation between Rose and Nachitgall (was loosely in Ms or
Minutes 268). - E) A sheet of paper (73) decorated with a title arabesque, contains a
Song of praise for Jerusalem in italics (from Ms or Minutoli 274).
