Dalā’il al-khayrāt, by Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān al-Jazūlī (d. 1465). Codex, ink, colours and gold on paper, 149 folios, Arabic text in gold and silver naskh script, set within black roundels (throughout), with illuminated opening page (fols. 1v-2r) and 2 paintings of the holy sites in Mecca and Medina (fols. 20v-21r), Proofs of Good Deeds and Brilliant Bursts of Light in the Remembrance of Blessings on the Chosen Prophet (Dalā’il [here Dalīl] al-khayrāt wa shawāriq al-anwār fī dhikr al-ṣalāt ‘ala Nabī al-Mukhtar), by Abū `Abdullāh Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān ibn Abī Bakr al-Jazūlī al-Simlānī (d. 1465), book of prayers devoted to the Prophet Muḥammad, each of 8 reading sections (ḥizb) concludes with a note in margin (fols. 21v, 36v, 50v, 66r, 82r, 99v, 117v, 135v), unsigned, dedicated to Ottoman prince Selim (born 1761, future Sultan Selim III, r. 1789-1807), Istanbul, Turkey, dated Dhu’l-Qa`da 1177H, May 1764.
