Anthology (majmū`) of Eleven Persian Poets. This book’s narrow format was popular for small volumes of poetry. With a flexible binding, the manuscript could be held open in one hand, and read anywhere. Codex in safina format, ink, colours and gold on paper, 209 folios, leather bookbinding, Persian text in nasta`liq script, with illuminated headings, columns and marginal motifs, and borders with stencilled, painted and stained designs, Anthology (majmū`) of Persian poetry, by Farīd-al-dīn ʿAṭṭār (d. 1221), `Imād al-Dīn Faqīh of Kerman (d. 1371), `Iṣmat of Bukhara (d. 1426), Jalāl al-Dīn Rūmī (d. 1273), Amīr Khusrau Dihlavī (d. 1325), Shaykh Awḥadī of Isfahan (d. 1338), Ḥāfeẓ (d. 1390), Khwāju Kirmāni (d. 1349), Salmān Sāvajī (d. 1378), Kamāl Khujandī (d. 1400) and Kamāl al-Dīn Ṭālib (d. 1449), incomplete text, unsigned, Shiraz, Iran, undated, c. 1450.
