Codex, ink, colours and gold on paper, 310 folios, Arabic text in naskh script, with illuminated medallions (shamsa, fols. 1v-2r), double frontispiece (turanj design, fols. 2v-3r), sura headings and marginal markers throughout, and two double finispieces (fols. 307v-309r), complete Qur'ān, with final prayer (khatm, fols. 307v-308r) and divination index (fālnāma, fols. 308v-309r), signed by Niẓām al-Dīn Maḥmūd (fol. 307r), possibly Shiraz, Iran, dated 975H, 1567-1568.
