Guide to Happiness (Dalā'il al-khayrāt) by Shaykh al-Jazūlī (d. 1465). This prayer book was originally composed in Morocco, by the Sufi scholar Muḥammad al-Jazūlī (d. 1465). Later copies were produced from North Africa to India, and usually contain illustrations linked to the life and memory of the Prophet Muḥammad. Codex, ink, colours and gold on paper, 93 folios, Arabic text in maghribi script, with diagrams of holy names, the Prophet’s footprint, and the holy sites in Mecca and Medina (fols. 1v-4r), and full page illumination (fols. 4v-5v, 93v), Guide to Happiness and the Shinings of Lights, for reciting the prayer to bless the chosen Prophet (Dalā'il al-khayrāt wa shawāriq al-anwār fī dhikr al-ṣalāt ‘ala Nabī al-Mukhtar), by Abū `Abdullāh Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān ibn Abī Bakr al-Jazūlī al-Simlānī (d. 1465), book of prayers devoted to the Prophet Muḥammad, copied by Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn `Abd al-Raḥmān al-Riyāḥī, possibly Algeria, North Africa, dated 1048H, 1638-1639.
