Notes Five Poems (Khamsa), by Nizami. This Persian anthology consists of five major works by the poet Nizami Ganjavi, composed between 1166 and 1194: Treasury of Secrets (Makhzan al-Asrar), Khusrau and Shirin, Layla and Majnun, the Seven Portraits (Haft Paykar) and the Book of Alexander (Iskandarnama). This densely-illustrated copy was made in Shiraz, in 1492.
