Codex, ink, colours and gold on paper, 30 folios, Chaghatay Turkish text in nasta`liq script, with illuminated heading (sarlawh, fol. 1v), 8 paintings (fols. 14v, 16v, 18r, 20v, 23r, 26r, 29v, 30r) and gold-painted pink borders throughout, Treasury of Secrets (Makhzan al-Asrār), by Ḥaydar Khwārazmī (d. 1414), paintings probably by Muḥammad Qāsim (d. 1660), final image is dedicated to Manūchihr Khān (died 1636, governor of Mashhad), unsigned, probably Mashhad, Iran, undated, c. 1617-1636.
