Anthology (Dīvān) of Āṣafī (d. 1517). This anthology organises the Herat poet Āṣafī's ghazals (odes) in alphabetical order of rhyming (following the last words of each line). Codex, ink, colour and gold on paper, 120 folios, Persian text in nasta`liq script, borders gold-flecked and marbled, pasteboard bookcovers painted and varnished (added later), Anthology (Dīvān), by Āṣaf ibn Naʿīm al-dīn Niʿmatallah ibn ʿAlā al-dīn ʿAlī Quhestānī, known as Āṣafī (d. 1517, Herat), Iran, colophon (fol. 117r) unsigned, dated Rabi` II 959H, August 1552.
