Codex, ink, colours and gold on paper, tooled leather bookbinding, 24 folios, Arabic text in naskh, thuluth and muhaqqaq scripts, with illuminated double frontispiece (chahar-lawh, fols. 1v-2r), verse counters and marginal markers throughout, Juz' 3 of the Qur'ān (Sura 2:253 to 3:91, from a thirty-volume set commissioned for Aqqoyunlu ruler Ya`qūb Beg ibn Uzun Ḥasan (r. 1478-1490), copied by Zayn al-`Abidīn ibn Muḥammad al-Kātib al-Shīrāzī, probably Shiraz, Iran, dated 888H, 1483-1484.
