Anthology (Dīvān) of Persian Poetry. This slim volume is designed to be held and carried with ease: the book contains a selection of verses by six different poets, written in fine calligraphy. The border designs show pairs of birds and angels, set against stencilled climbing plants. Codex in safina format, ink, colours and gold on paper, 61 folios, Persian text in nasta`liq script, headings in gold thuluth script, borders with stencilled and painted designs, Anthology (Dīvān) of poetry by Jalāl al-Dīn Rūmī (d. 1273), Farīd-al-dīn ʿAṭṭār (d. 1221), Amir Khusrau Dihlavi (d. 1325), `Ubayd Zākānī (d. 1371), Ḥāfeẓ (d. 1390), and Khayāli (d. c.1446, Bukhara), incomplete, unsigned, Iran, undated, c. 1450.
