Notes Maryam (Mary) at the palm tree with baby `Isa (Jesus), from Stories of the Prophets (Qiṣaṣ al-anbiyā), by Ishaq ibn Ibrahim al-Nishapuri. This work describes the biographies of the Prophets in Islam, in chronological order from Adam to Muhammad. Many of these figure in the Christian Bible as well as the Qur'an, including Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses) and Yusuf (Joseph). Here, God saves Maryam (Mary) and her baby son `Isa (Jesus, a Prophet in Islam) from hunger, miraculously reviving a dead palm tree to provide them with dates to eat.
