Notes	Folios from an `Abbasid Qur'an. Codex, ink, colours and gold on parchment, 20 folios, Arabic text in kufic script, with illuminated motifs (knots, stars, lobed medallions) as tenth verse counters throughout, sections from the Qur'an, suras 13:34 to 18:110 (but not continuous), probably Iraq, c. 800-900. Two other folios from this same dispersed manuscript are now in the Freer-Sackler museum in Washington, DC: F1929.72 and F1945.16.
