Foundation & Ownership Record: In two different appropriation records recorded on the right side of page 256b, it is stated that the copy was first owned by Seyyid Hasan and then by 'Âdîl Beg's son, Selîm Beg.

Seal: On the title leaf (vr. 1a): There is a small, round seal with the inscription "Bende'-i Hudâ Muhammed Emîn" and on the back of the last leaf (vr. 256b) there is a very small and unreadable seal.

Other Remarks:
It is an Arabic commentary written by Gelibolulu Muslihuddîn Mustafa Sürûrî on Gülistân, which was written in Persian by the famous Iranian poet Sa‘dî-i Şîrâzî (d. 691/1292). On the first leaf (1b), the title "Şerh-i Gülsitân-ı Sürûrî" has been added to the upper margin above the Basmala with a different calligraphy. According to the Ketebe record, the manuscript was copied in the middle of Muharram in 984 (15 Muharram 984/14 April 1576) by 'Alî bin Hüseyin, the imam of Debbâğ-hâne Masjid and the orator of Halîl Beg Mosque (vr. 256b).
