Mehmet Halet's sealed memorandum stating that 200 pieces of French and 200 pieces of Ottoman gold were prepared to be given to creditors, that they were delivered to the administration of the Nemçe Ferry Company in Jeddah to be sent, but that they could not be sent because the Nemçe ferry did not arrive and the Egyptian ferries were not insured, so the said money was kept in trust in the Jeddah Commodity Fund and that these were sent upon the arrival of Nemçe.
