| Notes | Apparently, Adelaide Casati and her sister Margarita attended the premiere of the Aida in Cairo (24 December 1871). Their father, Filippo, was participating in the performance as a cello player. In Cairo, the two Casati sisters met their future husbands, respectively, Paul Draneht, and the Greek banker, Joannis Sinadino (who acted as witness in the marriage between Paul Draneht and Adelaide Casati). Both men moved to live in Oggebbio, Italy, when Paul Draneht bought a villa there. |
