Our study examines the historical development of personal data protection law in the European Union and Türkiye, the current regulations in the European Union and Turkish law, the main concepts and the basic principles that dominate personal data protection law. In line with the ultimate purpose of the study, whether the three sample documents prepared within the scope of Turkish law, namely the information text, express consent text and storage and destruction policy texts, can be evaluated within the scope of general transaction conditions or not is discussed by making use of the provisions regarding general transaction conditions. Finally, the findings and analyzes regarding whether these texts can be evaluated from the perspective of general transaction conditions and what impact they may have within the framework of Turkish law are emphasized., This thesis focuses on the evaluation of the documents prepared within the scope of the personal data protection law from the perspective of general terms and conditions.
