According to the information obtained from the twenty-three soldiers captured from the Prizren Battalion deserters, the total number of deserters was around one hundred and eighty and most of those captured were sick, a detachment of two hundred people was assigned from Monastir to capture the remaining ones, the passes on Tetovo and Prizren were held, and it was investigated whether the encouraging letters coming from the hometowns of the soldiers were the reason for the mass desertion.
