The letter was received on 25 February 1828. In the letter, Abbas Meerza expresses his satisfaction with the services rendered to Persia [Iran] by Captain Isaac Hart of the 65th Regiment of Foot, and requests that the Duke of Wellington be solicited so that a ‘special mark of favour’ may be bestowed upon Hart.
