paper — The Nkolonkadhi are the smallest tribe among the Ambo. Their language, the Otsingolongazi
(ng = voiceless velar n), is very close to Ndonga. I have two short texts
recorded and edited in Oniipa in November 1953. They were spoken by
Malakia Aluyongo. a) Historical text. 30 line file format. Short report from the history of the country. Description of how large trees used to be
used as refuges during war and surrounded them with palisades. Mention of the
Attack by the Kwambi in 1915. Recorded on tape in Oniipa December 29, 1953 b) Text about the birth of twins. 10 line file format. A woman who has given birth to twins should not be spoken to until the children are born
are larger. A mother who did not have a normal birth becomes like the mother of
Treated twins even though she only gave birth to one child. Malakia also has word examples
spoken on tape with voiceless or almost voiceless nasals. I made it myself
