ملاحظات Ms. codex.Title from title page (fol. 3a).Physical description: 25 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red; final yāʼ dotted. The last word of some lines is written vertically. Thick cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. Fol. 1-2 are later additions with a table of contents (European paper). Collation notes on the margin ; collation statement on the verso of each ten leaves (end of quire?). Title on tail of text block. Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals.Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥ 301".Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on 13 or 23 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 931 [Sept. 1525].Incipit: بسم ... رب يسر يا كريم قال شيخنا الامام العلامة شيخ عصره وفريد دهره الشيخ شمس الدين ابو عبد الله محمد بن محمد بن محمد ابن الجزري المقرى رحمه الله ... الحمد لله الذي انزل القران كلامه ويسره وسهل نشره لمن رامه وقدره ... وبعد فان الانسان لا يشرف الا بما يعرف ولا يفضل الا بما يعقلExplicit: واجنحته الصدق ومواقيته الاسحار واسبابه الصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كثيرا - Brown leather binding with flap. Upper cover later replacement with blind stamped scalloped mandorla and pendants consisting of impressions of a small floral stamp. Lower cover and fore-edge flap have impressions of a small square stamp. - Neat copy of a treatise on the readings of the Qurʼān.
