Written in small naskh with elements of nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red. The text is framed in gold outlined in black and blue. Dark cream paper, glossy, with regular thick laid lines visible. Stained with water.Waqf (see inscription on fol. 5a).Origin: According to colophon, copy completed in Rabīʻ al-Awwal 890 [April 1485] (fol. 6b).Incipit: المنة لواهب العقل هذه رسالة فى اداب البحث يحتاج اليها كل متعلم لتكون حافظة له عن الضلالExplicit: كما سبق في مثال المنع ... فى التشبيه السابق فلتذكر - Unbound, apparently part of a larger collection. - Treatise on ādāb al-baḥth, in three sections (faṣl): Fī al-Taʻrīfāt -- Fī tartīb al-baḥth -- Fī masāʼil [sic] allatī ikhtaraʻahā (see description of contents, fol. 1b). Defective copy. At the end of fol. 4a, text supplied by a later hand -- fol. 4b blank.
