Ms. codex.Title from introduction (fol. 4b).Collation: Paper ; fol. i + 162 ; quires signed: 2-17 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 17 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red.Description: Headings in red and green ; vowel signs ; watermarks (shield with a face-in-the-moon and roman-alphabet letters "VG") ; MS in good condtion.Origin: According to colophon copy completed Saturday [1] Ṣafar 1272 by ʻUmar ibn Khaṭṭāb (fol. 161b).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم استعين الحمد لله الذي اطلع شمس الحق ... وبعد فان مما عمت به البلوى في کثير من الناس ونال الشيطان به ...Colophon: ووافق الفراغ من کتابته يوم السبت المبارك غرة صفر الخير من شهور سنة 1272 اثنين وسبعين ومائتين والف من هجرة من له العزة والشرف صلى الله عليه وسلم م. على يد کاتبه افقرالعباد الى الوهاب عمر بن خطاب. اللهم اغفر له ولوالديه آمين. م - Contemporaneous type II (with flap) binding in red leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and cornerpieces and blind-tooled decorative frame on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Green paper pastedowns. Multi-colored endbands. - A work condemning sodomy.
