Ms. codex.Title from title page (fol. 1a).A few marginal notes and glosses.Collation: Paper ; fol. 363 ; quired signed: 2-36 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 25 lines per page.Description: Text in red and commentary in black ; watermarks (three hats/boats?, roman-alphabet letters "FP") ; MS in good condition.Origin: According to colophon copy completed Monday 13 Ṣafar 1240 (fol. 363b).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله الذي جعل ذكره رياض الصالحين ومنا جاته غذاء ارواح الفالحين ... وبعد فيقول العبد ... بن علان الصديقى الشافعي هذا ما رعت اليه الحاجة من وضع تقليق لطيف ...Colophon: وكان الفراغ منها بنهار الاثنين ثالث عشر من صفر المبارك من شهور سنة اربعين ومايتين والف - Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in light brown leather. Blind-stamped mandora and blind-tooled edging. Not sewn. Flap is missing. Cover possibly re-used with flap removed because the covers aren't wide enough for the MS. - The first volume of Dalīl al-fāliḥīn li-ṭuruq Riyāḍ al-ṣāliḥīn. As stated in the colophon this volume comprises the first quarter of the book.
