ملاحظات "Picatrix" ist bekanntlich der Titel der lateinischen Übersetzung [dieses] arabischen Lehrbuches der Magie"--Vorwort.Arabic t.p. indicates that text was printed in 1927 by J.J. Augustin in Glückstadt and Hamburg.According to the Encycl. of Islam (and following F. Sezgin), this work should be attributed to Maslamah ibn Aḥmad al-Majrīṭī's "quasi-temporary and compatriot Abū Maslama Muḥammad ... al-Mad̲j̲rīṭī ... and to the latter's pupil Ibn Bis̲h̲rūn al-Mad̲j̲rīṭī ..." See the article "al-Mad̲j̲rīṭī, Abu 'l-Ḳāsim Maslama b. Aḥmad al-Faraḍī" by J. Vernet. This opinion is not unanimous however.Includes bibliographical references.
