ملاحظات	Three works on archery, horsemanship and military matters. The first two texts are by Abū Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Raḥmān Aḥmad al-Ṭabarī (أبو محمد عبد الرحمن أحمد الطبري, active ca 9th century), originator of the 'eclectic' (اختياري) approach to archery training which permitted the archer to recombine aspects of the various existing traditions to suit his individual physical requirements. A note on the final flyleaf attributes authorship of the third text also to al-Ṭabarī. The volume has incurred some losses. Historic re-binding is suggested by a large stain affecting the third text only, and by the Eastern Arabic pagination and intermittent catchwords added in pencil. Contents: (1) al-Ṭabarī (الطبري), Kitāb al-shāmil fī al-ramy (كتاب الشامل في الرمي; ff. 1r-55r); (2) al-Ṭabarī (الطبري), Kitāb al-Wāḍiḥ fī al-ramy (كتاب الواضح في الرمي; ff. 55r-96v); (3) al-Ṭabarī (الطبري), Untitled treatise on the arts of the lance and warfare (ff. 97r-118v).
