The work was composed in Jerusalem in 807 [1405]., Collation: Paper; fol. 123 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 13 lines per page., Description: Rubricated ; full vowel signs ; MS in fair condition; stained with dampness., Origin: Probably from XVth century., Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه ثقتى الحمد لله الذي خلق الموجودات من ظلمة العدم بنور الايجاد ... وبعد فان الناس کانوا في جاهلية جهلاء وعمية عميا حتى جاء الحق وزهق الباطل ان الباطل كان زهوقا ..., Colophon: قال المصنف رضي الله عنه جمعت هذه الاحرف بالقدس الشريف راجيا من الرب اللطيف العفو عما اجترحته وضيعت وقتي فيه بالتسويف. وکان الفراغ منه في يوم الخميس العشر الاخير من شوال سنة سبع وثمان مائة وسميته قمع النفوس ورقية المأيوس. والحمد لله وحده وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد سيد الاولين والاخرين وعلى سائر الانبياء والمرسلين والکل وسائر الصالحين ورضي الله عن اصحاب رسول الله اجمعين وعن کل التابعين لهم باحسان الى يوم الدين وحسبي الله وکفى | Later type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Blind-stamped and appliqued mandorla of light brown leather and blind-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Green paper pastedowns. Multi-colored endbands. Edges and spine of binding repaired with red leather. | Ownership signatures: Abū Bakr ibn ʻUthmān dated 1009, Muḥyī al-Dīn Jār Allāh al-Ḥāfiẓ al-Shāfiʻī, Saʻd Allāh al-Khālidī ibn .. dated 1219, several obscured names (fol. 1a); obscured signature (fol. 135b).
