The ground work is also known as al-Tathbīt ʻinda al-tabyīt. | Ms. codex., Title from title page (fol. 1a)., A few marginal notes., Collation: Paper ; fol. 73 + i ; 7 quires ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 21 lines per page ; ruled., Description: Text in red and commentary in black ; watermarks (three crescents) ; MS in good condition., Origin: According to colophon copy completed Wednesday 1 Shaʻbān 1226 (fol. 72a)., Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه ثقتي الحمد لله الباقي يعدفنا خلقه ... اما بعد فيقول افقر الخلق الي عقو الحق احمد بن خليل السيكي الشافغي ... قد سألني بعض الاخوان ان اشرح المنظومة ..., Colophon: وکان الفراغ من کتابتها يوم الاربع المبارك اول يوم من شعبان الذي هو من شهور سنة 1226 من الهجرة النبوية على صاحبها افضل الصلاة والسلام وصلّى الله على سيدنا ومولانا محمد النبيّ الامين وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم تسليما والحمد لله رب العالمين امين تم تم تم | Later type II (with flap) binding in light brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and blind-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Tan paper pastedowns. Not sewn.
