Collection of Arabic poems and prayers and Persian texts on Sufism. | Ms. composite codex., Collective title from text 3, leaf 57b., On front cover, label reading "282 KE"., Layout: Varying lines per page ; Silsilat al-z̲ahab written in two colums., Description: Written in a variety of scripts in black by different hands on laid Arabic paper. Catchwords. Text 3 has some crossouts. Leaves 1-9 are detached. Extensive damp staining, a few paper repairs, and some creasing. In fair condition., Explicit (text 2): ذکر گو ذکر تا ترا جان است * زندگى دل بذکر ىزدان است ... [؟] ز ذکر بذکر ذکر خفيه که گفته اند اىنست تمت | 1. fol. 1a-18b: [Poems, prayers, and extracts in Arabic]. Excised from several different manuscripts., 2. fol. 19a-57a: [Persian treatise on Sufism]. Unidentified; incomplete at beginning., 3. fol. 58a-104b: Silsilat al-z̲ahab / [Jāmī]. Sufi poem on Naqshabandi doxology, part of the Haft awrang. Incomplete at beginning. | Type III (without flap) binding in red leather. Gold-stamped mandorla, pendants, cornerpieces, and fillets. | Acquired from Brill, Leyden, 1904, from the books of Amīn ibn Ḥasan al-Ḥulwānī al-Madanī al-Ḥanafī (Medina).
