inner cover made of paper — black, brownish-black, red — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — Commentary on al-Wasīlah fī ʿilm al-ḥisāb. Al-Wasīlah fī ʿilm al-ḥisāb is written
by Shihāb al-Dīn Abū al-ʿAbbās Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad Ibn al-Hā'im al-Faraḍī al-Maqdisī
al-Shāfiʿī (d. 815/1412-1413; GAL II/125-126 S II/154-155; Kaḥḥālah II/137; Ziriklī
I/226) and presents a shortened version of al-Maʿūnah fī ʿilm al-hawā'ī, composed
by the same author. It gives detailed instructions for mental arithmetic. f. 179a: Excerpt from Maʿūnah fī ʿilm al-hawā'ī by Shihāb al-Dīn Abū al-ʿAbbās Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad
Ibn al-Hā'im al-Faraḍī.
