modern slipcase covered with orange-brown fabric — black, red — paper — Collection of prophetical traditions referring to juridical questions. The traditions
are arranged according to the thematic structure of the books of Islamic law. Their
main topics represent the main books (kitāb), that is chapters, of the collection
which are, in return, divided into sub-chapters (bāb). The Leipzig manuscript is an
incomplete fragment. It contains the following books, respectively chapters (kitāb): ff. 3b-5b: كتاب الوقف ff. 5b-9a: كتاب الوصايا ff. 9a-13b: كتاب الفرايض ff. 13b-17a: كتاب العتق ff. 17a-21b: كتاب النكاح ff. 21b-36a: كتاب الاطمعة والصيد والذبايح ff. 36b-39a: كتاب المذور ff. 39a-46a: كتاب الاقضية والاحكام ff. 46a-50a: كتاب حد شارب الخمر ff. 50a-52a: كتاب احكام الردة والاسلام ff. 52b-74b: كتاب الجهاد والسير f. 74b: كتاب القطع في السرقة ff. 2a, 31a, 32b, 35a, 60b, 74b: collation marks
