ملاحظات
Shelfmark: MS Or 40. Origin: The copy is undated, perhaps produced in India in the 18th century. Decoration: Numerous geometrical figures in red and black. Script: Written in Naskh in black ink. Layout: 17 lines per page with little marginalia. Title from introduction (f. 1v). Manuscript codex. Formerly owned by David Eugene Smith (bookplate inside front cover).. A copy of al-Khuwarizmi's famous treatise on algebra. The pagination suggests this copy was written in India. Previously it was believed that the volume contained two titles, but in fact they are both part of the same treatise.
