The author's commentary on Fatḥ al-qarīb al-mujīb fī naẓm Khaṣāʼiṣ al-ḥabīb. | Collation: Paper ; fol. (4) + 103 + (4) ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Description: Text in red and commentary in black ; vowel signs ; watermarks (text has three crescents, later flyleaves have shield with face-in-the-moon and roman-alphabet letters "AG") ; MS in fair condition., Layout: 27-37 lines per page., Marginal notes. Title page carries an obliterated inscription that it was composed in 1032 [1622/2]. After the colophon is a statement that the copy from which the present MS was made is full of flaws and mistakes. On the page after the colophon is a quotation from the Dalāʼil al-minhāj of al-Ḥalabī., Ms. codex., Origin: According to colophon copied Friday 20 Jumādá II 1053 (fol. 103a)., Title from title page (fol. 1a)., Colophon: تم المصنف المبارك في ليلة الجمعة عشرين شهر جمادى الاخرى من سنة ثلاث وخمسين والف من الهجرة النبوية على صاحبها افضل الصلاة والسلام والحمد لله رب العالمين, Incipit: بسم الله ... الحمد لله الذي شرف نبيه على ساير الخلق | Later type II (with flap) binding in floral striped fabric. Under the fabric is red leather and cream paper. | Title page carries two ownership signatures, one partially obliterated, and the other for Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Saqqāf.
