The work is referred to in Ḥājjī Khalīfah, Kashf al-ẓunūn (1835-58), IV, p. 83 under the title Shihāb al-akhbār fī al-ḥikam wa-al-amthāl wa-al-ādāb min al-aḥādīth al-nabawīyah.
