Wool knotted pile on wool foundation, symmetrical knot. PILE: wool; 11 colours: red, light red, orange, yellow, green, light green, dark blue, blue, dark brown, brown, white; symmetrical, tied round 2 threads WARP: wool, Z2S; depressed, density 22 to the inch, (86 dm). WEFT: wool, Z2S; 2 shoots after each row of knots, 9/10 rows per inch (34 dm) SIDE FINISH: 2 over sewn with light green and light pink wool, forming stripes. Lower: incomplete, has 4" (5 cms) of plain weave. From bottom: band 2 cms with brown woollen weft, band with 2 cms with green woollen weft, band with 1 cm. with light pink woollen weft, band with 2 cm. with green woollen weft, band with 4.5 cm with brown woollen weft with 7 rows of weft twining in white/black, blue and light pink, light brown/light green, dark blue/red, and then the previous in reverse order. Upper end: like lower one with minor differences. E.g. band of weft twining total 4 cm. deep, red instead of light pink and above that bands of plain weave but red instead of light pink, and finally band of white weft 1" (2.5 cm) deep , 1 new warp twining and remains of fringe. Fiziksel açıklama
Carpet, offset design of packed boteh motifs on dark blue ground. The design consists of small field with a dark blue ground with 6 1/2 bands of 6 right facing similar floral botehs. Along the bottom is a row of red and green flower heads that also appear in spaces along the sides with smaller boteh motifs. With a wide border composed of five main border narrow stripes in the field. One has a white ground with 4-petalled floral motifs, separated by light green blobs at the upper end, by green at the lower and by green and red triangles at the sides, another has diagonal blocks in most colours containing a floral 'S' motif, the blocks changing direction in the centre of the upper and lower borders, another has an orange ground with a floral meander and dark blue stem and large red carnation-like flowers, another diagonal blocks in most colours containing a floral 'S' motif, the blocks changing direction in the centre of the upper and lower border, and the last has a dark blue ground, floral meander with red, light red or light blue blossoms.
