Fiziksel açıklama
Woven silk and metal thread, plain weave ground. Two pieces joined vertically. Warp: purple silk Weft: blue , red and white silk Metal thread: silver-gilt strip open S-wound on yellow silk Red ground with two geometric motifs: [1] flattened lobed lozenge with a white ground containing a horizontal bar in an X-motif in metal thread with blue details and a small blue lozenge top and bottom [2] blue square edged in metal thread containing a composite 8-rayed motif in metal thread. These two motifs are linked by narrow diagonal lines in blue and metal thread forming a lozenge lattice. The remaining ground is densely packed with floral motifs in metal thread with red details in two variations, one having a definite horizontal bar and the other having a more open bar form. The heavily sized reverse has clear diagonal lines created by pressing hot metal rods onto the fabric. Because these are not clearly visible on the front it is possible that they indicate the bias along which the fabric should be cut to use as a facing fabric for other items. There are two selvedge, each has 2 purple silk cords
