Tapestry woven wool. Egyptian ca. AD300-600. Square panel with bird at centre. The bird at the centre looks over its shoulder to the right. It uses blue, cream, brown and yellow wool. It is surrounded by a yellow circle and at each 'corner' is an oval shaped leaf in green with a border of yellow. This desgin is bordered above and below with a strip including blue wool. The piece is damaged with several holes. The top of the piece is a border.
