Tapestry woven wool of purple and cream (240mmx105mm). Egyptian, ca. AD400-600. Two bands (45mm wide), from the sleeve of a tunic, lie parallel and contain alternating images of stylised animals and people with scrolling waves above and below each band. At both ends of each row there is a vertical line then a floral shaped trident icon (tulip?). There are some holes in the piece. Approx. 10x24 tpc.
