Wool knotted pile on wool foundation, symmetrical knot. Warp: white wool; Z2S; not depressed; 14-16 threads per inch (56-64 per dm). Weft: red wool; Z2S; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 10 rows of knots per inch. Pile: wool; 10 colours: light yellow, red, green, grey, orange, blue, brown, yellow, dark blue, white; symmetrical knot tied around 2 warp threads. Side finish: 1 cord oversewn with green wool. End finish: Lower: edge incomplete; 1cm of plain weave, 1 row weft twining in red and blue. Upper: end missing. Wool Knotted Pile
Fiziksel açıklama
Carpet, 'mina khani' design combining diagonal trellis with rosette flowers. Design: Field: dark blue ground with 3 diamond-shaped medallions along central line. Medallions have light yellow ground with central orange flower. Remainder has 14.5 bands of mainly 3 blossoms / palmettes supported by a red lattice. Scattered small flower, bird, and animal forms. Main border: dark blue ground, blue meander bearing red and blue blossoms and green leaves. Inner and outer borders: white ground with brown meander bearing small red and blue flowers.
