Fiziksel açıklama
Large rectangular panel of plain woven undyed linen and tapestry woven undyed linen and purple-brown wool, backed onto a more modern linen ground. The decoration consists of three identical tapestry-woven bands, dark on light. Each contains two warrior figures holding shields, looking towards a hare in the middle. Details are picked out in undyed linen in flying thread brocading. Areas of the woolen weft are lost. Plain weave: Linen warp (S-spun, 28-30/cm) Linen weft (S-spun, 18/cm) Tapestry weave: Linen warp (S-spun) Wool weft (Z-spun, 40-42/cm) Linen weft (S-spun)
