The lower arc of the ring is made of flattened wire onto which is fused a fire-gilded sheet of silver set within the ring with a scalopped outline. It is decorated with a matrix stamped floral and arabesque pattern. One red and two blue glass stones are bezel-set on each ring and mounted on this inner decorative sheet. A pair of silver flanges are slotted onto the decorative ends of the ring with stamped silver decoration on both front and back probably intended as the heads of open-mouthed auspicious dragons, found on other earrings of this overall style.
